Cast-iron plants are perfect for the beginner plant enthusiast as they are easy to care for and can adapt to low light levels. They have broad strappy leaves on long stalks and grow in clumps, making them great plants for layering amongst other plants.

Care
LIGHT
Prefers filtered light but can adapt to low light.
WATER
Keep moist over the warmer months but not drenched. Reduce watering in the cooler months and allow the plant to dry out longer between watering. Can adapt to dry conditions.
NUTRIENTS
Feed with slow-release fertiliser once every three months (refers to packaging for dosage). In the warmer months, feed every two months with a liquid fertiliser.
IDEAL TEMPERATURE
Cool to warm.
